changmin, sweet changmin. changmin, our maknae. changmin, quiet and snarky and ever so special. changmin, who was so suddenly thrust into this life, with an uncertain mind and even more uncertain heart. changmin, who never cries in front of us. changmin, the boy who worked impossibly hard but never showed it, you deserved this award. you all did.

Changmin/Yunho; HoMin

cassi5peia:

NOTE: This is not a pimp post or meta for HoMin as a romantic pairing. This is simply an analysis of their relationship as band-mates and colleagues, as I see it.

Can I just start this off by saying one thing? I love love love what the separation has done for their relationship. I don’t exactly enjoy the situation, but I’m not going to complain about what it’s given us.

Their friendship has grown and deepened in so many ways that I don’t think would have been possible had the injunction not happened. What used to be a relationship built on respect and admiration has now evolved into one of equality and complete trust. There’s still the respect and admiration there, but it’s no longer the main focus of their interactions. Now, thanks to their duel experiences in the past two years, it’s been hammered into a solid foundation, strong enough to support as many other facets as they’d like to develop.

Here’s the thing with HoMin: up until the split happened, nobody really paid attention to them as a duo. It was always Yunho and Changmin and Jaejoong, or it was just Yoochun and Junsu and Changmin or just Yunho and Jaejoong. Not to say that nobody saw their friendship or their bond, but more that they placed more importance and emphasis on their relationships with the other members instead of just each other. And then the injunction was filed and all of a sudden all of the attention is on just them.

Yunho and Changmin, the two whose interactions used to be edited out of programs more than any other because…they just weren’t as fun.

Yunho and Changmin, the Tall Brothers, the resident Group Geniuses, the Leader and the Magnae, the Manchild and Childman.

Yunho and Changmin, who have always been shoved into a Father/Son dynamic by the fans whether they wanted to be or not. Not that they ever really did much to change that. Yunho was perfectly happy being half of YunJae and Changmin was (more than) perfectly happy not being part of a Big OTP, because that meant he could just play around and not have to worry about stupid things like fanservice (which he isn’t good at anyways). No no, better to let YunJae and YooSu worry about all of that, and he can just flit in between them all, trolling and teasing to his heart’s content.

But their bond was deep—it always has been. The current situation has just forced us to actually look at and recognize it because there’s nothing there to distract us.

But lets look at why.
